Translates couple and brand briefs into crate lists, power plans, and overnight crew notes.
For a closer look at how Ms Zainab Fakier turns wedding and brand briefs into crate counts, cable runs, and crew notes, read updates on the journal. If your event includes illuminated marquee letters, fabricated 3D lettering, or a late-night strike after a Gauteng activation, send the key details through our contact form.
The role
As client producer, Zainab is the first contact for most briefs. She turns a couple's idea or a brand team's plan into a job sheet that the yard, the crews and the venue can follow.
From brief to job sheet
A job sheet lists the word, the letter type and height, the finish, the venue and placement, the power plan, the access window and the strike time. Zainab gathers those details from the client and the venue, and she flags gaps early.
Crate counts and crew notes
Once the brief is confirmed, Zainab works with logistics on the crate count and with the electrical lead on the power plan. For late installs, she prepares the overnight crew notes with access, security and contact details.
Keeping everyone aligned
Weddings and launches involve planners, venues, photographers and suppliers. Zainab keeps one version of the plan and shares changes with everyone who needs them.
After the event
Zainab follows up after strike with photos and any notes on damage or missing parts. Repeat clients get their previous job sheet as a starting point for the next booking.
A typical brief
A couple might send a date, a venue and a surname. Zainab replies with questions about placement, power and access, suggests a letter height and finish, and prepares a quote. Once confirmed, she builds the job sheet and shares it with the yard, the crew and the venue.
Brand briefs often carry more detail: artwork, colour references, multiple venues and tight access windows. She coordinates those with design, electrical and logistics.
Working with planners
Planners juggle many suppliers. Zainab sends one clear job sheet and keeps it up to date, so the planner always has the current plan.
Repeat clients often ask for Zainab by name, because she keeps their past job sheets and remembers the details of their venues.
Questions for Zainab
Send the event date, the venue, the exact word and whether the letters stand indoors or outside through the contact form. She prepares a suggested set and a quote.
